FlipEars’ proprietary EarQuake full-spectrum bone conduction driver represents a breakthrough in unit technology. Compared to traditional bone conduction units, the full-spectrum bone conduction unit optimizes vibration frequency and amplitude to more precisely control the sound output across different frequency bands, thereby achieving a wider frequency response range and superior sound performance. Particularly in the mid to low frequencies, it enhances sound separation, making instruments and vocals clearer and more distinguishable. It delivers a powerful low-frequency impact and depth, while vocals are clearer and more natural, rich in detail, and delicately expressive of emotions.

This specially crafted full-range dynamic driver serves as the core of the Legion’s hybrid structure, primarily handling the main sound output from low to mid frequencies. Its mature and reliable dynamic driver technology provides rich mid-frequencies and solid low frequencies, ensuring natural performance of vocals and instruments, along with an outstanding dynamic range that accurately reproduces the contrasts in music strength. Combined with the low-frequency vibrations of the full-spectrum bone conduction unit and the high-frequency extension of the stator electrostatic unit, it provides seamless frequency integration, enhancing the thickness and energy of the Legion in the mid to low frequencies.

FlipEars’ newly developed SPARK stator electrostatic tweeter driver exhibits a high-frequency performance rarely seen in in-ear headphones. Unlike traditional electrostatic units that rely on external polarization voltage for driving, the stator electrostatic unit uses its pre-polarized thin-film design to not only significantly simplify driving requirements but also achieve extreme high-frequency extension in a miniaturized structure. The SPARK unit, through its exclusively tuned stator diaphragm, offers superior power efficiency and sensitivity. It excels in high-frequency response extension and detail reproduction, capturing the sheen of string instruments' overtones, the delicate tremble of vocal breaths, or the ethereal airiness of electronic synthesizer effects, accurately capturing and presenting an almost boundless spatial layering.

To further enhance the contact area between the bone conduction unit and the ear when wearing the headphones, the Legion has adopted a large caliber short duct design. The shortened duct length and larger diameter increase the resonant frequency of sound waves, making high-frequency details more prominent and making vocals and instrument overtones brighter and clearer. Additionally, the short duct reduces sound wave reflection and delay, improving phase consistency and making soundstage localization more precise. For the low frequencies, the bone conduction unit supplements the impact of the bass, creating a balanced and natural listening experience.

The Legion also inherits a high regard for craftsmanship in its panel production process. From the panel to the outer shell, all are produced in the jewelry capital of the Philippines—Meycauayan, by well-known local jewelry manufacturers. The panels are made using jewelry casting technology with rose gold-plated brass, which not only prevents oxidation but also withstands the wear and tear of daily use. Each panel is hand-painted with enamel by skilled artisans, ensuring that each pair of headphones is a unique piece of art through a completely manual craftsmanship process. In terms of design, besides carving a three-dimensional and detailed helmet pattern on the panel, a clever integration of tree root totems symbolizes the loyalty and deep bonds among the Knights of the Round Table. Finally, to enhance the three-dimensionality and precision of the design, a black enamel coating is added to the panel, further highlighting its high-end visual effect and meticulous craftsmanship.
