Nott Phantom

Unveiling the Soul of Elegance

Nott Phantom under the starry night sky draws its design inspiration from Nótt, the mysterious and elegant Norse goddess of the night. As the daughter of the giant Nörvi, Nótt governs the cycle of day and night, embodying the profound depth and allure of the night. In Norse mythology, Nótt is renowned for her captivating charm and graceful demeanor. Riding her frost-maned black horse, Hrímfaxi, she drives a dark chariot across the heavens, ushering in the tranquility and mystery of the night. Her image—snow-white skin, raven-black hair, and a beguiling smile—exudes an enchanting, mysterious aura, making her a symbol of awe and imagination for the night in Norse culture. Kinera’s acoustic engineering team drew inspiration from Nótt’s divine image, translating her mythological essence into the design philosophy of the Nott Phantom. The earphone’s aesthetic is inspired by the scene of Nótt riding her black horse to divide day and night, showcasing the profound depth of a dark night sky and the graceful beauty of flowing lines, evoking the elegance and mystery of nightfall. This design not only reflects the romantic spirit of Norse mythology but also imbues the product with a unique cultural depth and visual allure.

5 Drivers Triple Way Crossover

Nott Phantom employs a 1+2+2 three-way crossover driver configuration. The low-frequency response is handled by an 8mm high-polymer composite diaphragm dynamic driver, delivering deep and powerful bass with ample depth, elasticity, and a sense of diffusion. The mid-frequency range is managed by two customized Knowles full-range balanced armature drivers, utilizing precise electronic crossover technology to produce rich and detailed imaging, resulting in a warm and captivating midrange texture. The high and ultra-high frequencies are driven by two customized Sonion balanced armature drivers, which, through a dual balanced armature composite structure, enhance high-frequency density and extension, offering clear and natural extension, precise separation of instrumental details, and an immersive atmosphere reminiscent of twinkling starlight.

Helmholtz Acoustic Structural Facecover

Kinera acoustics team utilizes a 3D-printed resin cavity paired with an open composite multi-layer faceplate, ingeniously applying the Helmholtz Resonance Effect for acoustic optimization. By precisely designing the cavity volume and opening structure, the resonance characteristics of air within the cavity are leveraged to adjust the sound performance of specific frequency bands, significantly enhancing tonal purity and balance while markedly reducing high-frequency distortion. This results in transparent and delicate sound details. Additionally, the open vent structure alleviates ear pressure during wear, improving comfort for extended listening sessions and enhancing the sense of an expansive soundstage.

Sound Signature

Beautiful, smooth and natural mids which are the star of the show. Bass is more atmospheric rather than impactful due to the semi-open back design. Female vocals are sweet as honey and simply captivating. In 2025, at this price bracket, there are few female vocal-centric sets that can compete with the Nott Phantom.
